Since I became a stay at home mother, I have been inundated with hundreds of blogs. Some of them make me laugh, some make me cry, some are full of wonderful advice and suggestions, and others completely tick me off. After researching what seems like every single symptom, behavior, feeling, and thought that I have had or experienced in one way or another, I have found that I am now quite knowledgable on a lot of different subjects. These subjects range anywhere from circumcisions to the best wineries in Napa.
I have been home with my son since he was born and have missed having a creative outlet and having adult conversations on a daily basis (that aren’t revolved around red dye, sleep training, or dealing with tantrums). Don’t get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoy chatting about all things having to do with children and suck up any advice and experiences that others are willing to share with me (I’m obsessed with getting MORE information), but sometimes I just want to get deeper and talk about other issues or thoughts that I may have on any given day.
This is the place for me to let go of all of those thoughts, share my newfound knowledge on a variety of subjects, and hopefully bring others laughter, joy and a fresh outlook on life.
In case you are wondering, the title of this blog has a lot to do with my first post, Bliss…my vision of what I thought life would be like when I was a “grown up,” it resembled the blissful feelings you have when you see a beautiful rainbow or butterflies flying around on a crispy spring day. The unicorn should make it very clear that this vision, though a lovely thought, is not accurate and does not exist.
Enjoy!
